Turning Concern into Action

The parish of St Catherine of Siena is committed to serving the poor, turning our concern into action. The Society of St Vincent de Paul is an essential part of the life of our parish. Parish Vincentians visit the sick, the lonely and the housebound as well as taking an active part in serving the homeless both through the Birmingham Soup Kitchen and the new homeless shelter based at St Annes. All are welcome to join the Society of St Vincent de Paul. Please contact the Parish Priest, and he will provide you with the right information.

Our younger parishioners can join our parish Minnie Vinnie group, which helps the children aged 5-11 understand the Scriptures through the Children’s Liturgy of the Word SVP Liturgical resources, followed by weekly works of mercy.

Teens are encouraged to find their vocation as Young Vincentians, always looking out for the disadvantaged and vulnerable in society as well as serving our own parish community.
